At The Veil, we believe marriage is a holy covenant reflecting God's love, a reason to celebrate, and a beacon for those seeking the hope of Christ!

Hello, and thanks for your interest in the big things God's doing in our little Village of Hersey!

The Veil was born out of a prayer about how to use this historic property to bless others!

We have 8 wonderful children, 2 grandchildren, and have used our home for many years to care for amazing people

living with disabilities.

After many years of marriage, we've come to appreciate that for the fun to continue long after the wedding cake, a little wisdom and a lot of true love goes a long way in overcoming life's challenges!

We have a vision for providing a perfect launchpad for marriages, AND to be on call for blessing couples as needed into the future.

While we've gone "overboard" trying to make The Veil's facilities as wonderful as possible, we think you'll find our staff to be the true highlights of your time here!

Seeing this vision become a reality is a constant reminder that we owe A LOT of gratitude to the loving sacrifices and prayers of many brothers and sisters in Christ who have invested so much to bless others!

Olivia Brower - Venue Manager

Hi! I’m Olivia! I have the privilege serving as the main point of connection between our couples and The Veil.

From start to finish, my role is to ensure everything on our end is clear, well-coordinated, and thoughtfully prepared so you can walk into your wedding day with peace, confidence, and joy!

Over the years, I’ve grown a deep appreciation for creating spaces where aesthetics, functionality, and hospitality come together. Whether I’m touring you through the venue, talking about the details of your event, or making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes the day of, my heart is to serve with care and intention.

I was born and raised in West Michigan and love being on Lake Michigan! You can usually find me outside, exploring thrift stores, hanging out at local coffee shops, working on house projects, or hosting friends and family in my home.

I’ve always loved creating cozy, meaningful spaces. Whether through warm conversation, shared meals, or thoughtful details, hospitality is a natural part of who I am and it shapes the way I care for couples here at The Veil!

It’s a gift to witness what the Lord is doing here! I look forward to welcoming you, hearing your story, and celebrating with you as you step into this beautiful new beginning!

(Owners Note: Olivia is truly a God send (a story we'd love to share in person!) She is frequently asked to help with many aspects of many weddings and has a steadfast heart for others and a true love for the Lord. Give her a chance and we don't think you will be disappointed!)
