MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

1. Purpose and Nature of Membership: 

The Veil LLC is dedicated to facilitating the sacred covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, consistent with scriptures such as Matthew 19:4-6 "Haven't you read,.. that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, 'for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." For this purpose, Members are offered our exclusive venue space for weddings and the celebration of other life events, overnight accommodations, and complimentary marriage resources, in accordance with our sincerely held religious beliefs. The Veil LLC operates as a private, Member only, entity. Membership is required to access our services, and we reserve the right to limit membership to those who share our faith and church based mission.  Members may invite non-members as their guests at The Veil. Members will receive occasional emails sharing updates about the Veil, practical marriage tips, as well as testimonies shared by the Membership community. Members agree to encourage and prayerfully support each other as needed. By entering this agreement, you (the “Member”) agree to support and abide by this mission.

2. Eligibility

• Membership is open to individuals and couples who:

  • Affirm their personal belief in biblical marriage as defined above.

  • Sign the Statement of Faith (attached as Appendix A).

  • Are approved by The Veil LLC in its sole discretion.

  • Any Minister signing the Statement of Faith receives a complimentary membership and is eligible to officiate all events at a Member's request. ​

3. Membership Fees and Term

• Fee: A one time, non-refundable application fee of $25 per couple to cover administrative costs (subject to change). Those employed in full-time ministry are exempt from this fee. 

• Term: Membership is valid indefinitely, subject to a continued commitment to the Statement of Faith and the The Veil's continued operation.

• Non-Transferable: Membership is personal to the Member and may not be transferred or assigned.

4. Rights and Responsibilities

• Member Rights: Members in good standing are eligible to:

  • Access The Veil LLC’s event services, subject to availability and applicable fees, along with complimentary facilitation of requested pastoral or marriage resources.

• Member Responsibilities: Members agree to:

  • Uphold the religious mission of The Veil LLC in their use of services.

  • Respect the private nature of The Veil LLC by inviting non-members to apply for membership to utilize services.

  • Comply with all policies, including payment terms and conduct expectations.

5. Private Status and Religious Liberty

The Veil LLC is a private, church members only ministry, and not a public accommodation. As such, The Veil LLC reserves the right to:

• Limit membership and services to those who share its religious beliefs.

• Refuse or terminate membership or services at its discretion, in accordance with its sincerely held religious convictions and rights under the First Amendment, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), the Michigan Religious Freedom Restoration Act (MCL 722.901) and other applicable statutes and natural rights. This agreement establishes a private contractual relationship between The Veil and its Members.

6. Termination of Membership

• By Member: Members may terminate their membership at any time with written notice to The Veil. No refunds will be issued for fees paid.

• By The Veil: Membership may be terminated at The Veil’s discretion if a Member:

  • Violates this agreement or the Statement of Faith.

  • Engages in conduct contrary to The Veil’s religious mission.

  • Fails to pay required fees. Termination does not entitle the Member to a refund unless otherwise required by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Veil LLC, its owners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any damages arising from the denial of membership, termination, or use of services. Services are provided “as is,” and Members assume responsibility for their own arrangements.

8. Governing Law

In keeping with Scriptures admonition in I Corinthians 6, Members commit that any disputes will first be arbitrated by mutually agreed upon church elders before being brought before secular courts.  Any disputes not resolved by the Church, shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Osceola County, Michigan, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Amendments

The Veil may amend this agreement at its discretion with 30 days’ written notice to Members. Continued membership after such notice constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

10. Acknowledgment

By signing below, the Member acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Membership Agreement and the attached Statement of Faith. The Member affirms their voluntary participation in this private, faith-based community.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

 

​We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, serving as the final authority for faith, life, and marriage.

​

We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Through repentance and belief in Jesus death and resurrection, we are forgiven, made new, and reconciled to God.

​​

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by God, joining one man and one woman in a lifelong union. This covenant reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church and is designed for His glory and the couple’s good.

​As a Christian wedding venue, The Veil is dedicated to hosting weddings and events that align with biblical principles and reflect the beauty of God’s design for marriage.
We joyfully welcome couples who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and who desire to enter into marriage as defined by Scripture—between one man and one woman, in covenant before God.

By booking an event at The Veil, members acknowledge and respect these beliefs as the foundation of our mission and ministry.
